Sustainment and training
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, BDA provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
Our sustainment and training services span Boeing and non-Boeing platforms including the E-7A Wedgetail, P-8A Poseidon, F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, CH-47F Chinook, C-17A Globemaster and the Airbus EC-135 as part of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System. In all, the company supports fleet reliability, availability and capability for more than 50% of the ADF’s aircraft types.
Networks and communications
BDA has decades of experience in the development and integration of complex defence communications systems and infrastructure. From the early days of the Defence High Frequency Communications System to the Wakulda air battlespace management system, Currawong Battlespace Communications System and Maritime Warfighter Network, we have demonstrated ability in advancing and enhancing multi-domain critical defence networks and communications systems to meet evolving operational needs and keep pace with emerging technology.
Mission systems
Through its pioneering work on the E-7A Wedgetail, P-8A Poseidon and Currawong Battlespace Communications System, BDA has developed a strong reputation for world-leading design, development and sustainment of integrated tactical and strategic mission systems.

Our supply chain
A strong and capable supply chain is critical to BDA’s ability to deliver agile and innovative solutions to our customers. As part of our commitment to building sovereign defence capability, BDA spends more than $200m annually with around 640 Australian suppliers, many of which are small-to-medium enterprises. Our supply chain is managed by a dedicated team focused on engaging with Australian suppliers, maximising Australian Industry Capability and promoting local enterprises to Boeing’s global supply chain. Purchase Order Terms and Conditions
All goods and services supplied to Boeing Defence Australia Ltd (BDA) or Boeing Australia Holdings Pty Ltd (BAH) are required to be supplied in accordance with standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions unless a separate written contract has been executed.
