High school career pathways
Boeing is a team of bold innovators and dreamers, continually looking for ways to build smarter, safer and more sustainably.
This is one of the few industries which combines technical knowledge with the power of imagination to develop things not previously thought possible. As innovation is a key part of our business, having the confidence to try new things is fundamental to working with us, while also being open to learning from others.
Getting on the runway
If you are a high school student, when it comes to current and future skills Boeing is looking for individuals who love coding, design, mechanical, mechatronics, robotics and working with tools and systems. It’s also important to work well in teams, problem solve, communicate and think creatively.
We recommend high-school students continue studying math up to and including year 12, as mid-level math is a minimum requirement for many roles. Continuing with a science subject up to and including year 12 is also ideal to broaden industry options. However, Boeing also offers opportunities for students interested in a business career or manufacturing roles through a certificate pathway.
