Boeing Defence Australia’s Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) is a sovereign communications capability, designed and built in Australia to meet the current and emerging communications needs of the Australian Defence Force.

Using one integrated system, DHFCS facilitates the secure exchange of information between mobile and fixed stations and aircraft, land and sea platforms. A cost-effective communication solution, call connection and data transfer are fully automated from user to user with no requirement for operator intervention and there are no call charges, no call time limitations, and no data volumes limitations.

DHFCS offers a fully-automated, advanced frequency management capability that selects the most appropriate frequency/antenna/node combination and communications are conveyed through four transmit/receive nodes located in remote areas to minimise background noise and interference.

It is the only alternative when satellite communications are not available or have been disabled.
