Boeing Australia has been named a Top 25 graduate employer in GradAustralia’s annual ranking of Australia’s Top 100 Graduate Employers.
The most sought-after graduate employer in defence and aerospace, Boeing took out the No.22 spot, based on a GradAustralia survey of 2680 Australian university students.
Boeing climbed six places compared with 2019, outranking all industry competitors.
This is good news for the record 56 current graduates and 100 summer interns under Boeing’s university placement initiatives who will gain invaluable, hands-on work experience at the world’s largest aerospace company.
“Boeing gives me the opportunity to learn something new every day in a team where I feel supported,” said Boeing Research & Technology – Australia composites research engineer Breanna Osborne, who joined the company’s graduate program in 2017.
“I’ve had the opportunity to experience a range of different departments in the business; from R&D to manufacturing.”
Investing in the future aerospace and defence workforce is vital to inspiring the leaders and innovators of tomorrow, said Sandra James, Boeing senior manager University Relations and STEM.
“Our graduate and summer internship programs are building the pipeline of future Boeing leaders and growing Australia’s sovereign skills base,” she said.
“Many of our interns and graduates are subsequently offered positions and go on to work on some of Australia’s most cutting-edge defence and commercial airplane programs.
“We’re proud to offer so many young people an entry into what is an exciting and challenging industry.“Independent recognition from GradAustralia really highlights what we have to offer.”
